A nifty thing...

It needs more melodic involvement, I think. The beat is nice, and the base line has a good groove, but the flute seems to exist independently. Comes out a little... schizophrenic.

Fancy recording equipment?

My fancy recording equipment consists of one computer, second hand, about seven years old, one twenty year second hand old borrowed mixer, and about seven ten year old second hand borrowed mikes, and of course, time and effort put into mixing. Total cost for me: $0, and some four hours recording and mixing, per song, average. If you wanted a studio like it, you could drop about $300 and have all that I have. Except for highly talented band members.

I am listening to the content of your songs your songs, not just the recording quality. But it is pretty hard to get past the recording quality.

Potential!

I like this version better- it keeps with the harmonic content better, kind of has a cathedral feel. The other one comes off as plunky and annoying after a while. If you could take this and swell it to a certain point, you might be able to take off into part two from there.

I like this version more too. the other just sounded kind of cool with the arps and other instruments, but this is the original version. I was trying to go more for an ambient sound, and was working on this one off and on for the past couple weeks. Version 2 was made about an hour before it was uploaded. it's the same notes, just different intsruments. Thank you for the review.
